Latest version has some new features and upgrades to enhance and improve the variety of content displayed on your website.
NEW FEATURE Website comments: also known as
Vents. This new feature allows visitors to your website to post their comments which improves the
visitor's interaction with your website.
- Once integrated into the public interface of your website a Comments option is displayed below any Item on the website. Anyone can simply add their comment and, via the Admin interface, you can moderate which comments appear.
- Once you have upgraded to ItemsOD v6.0 one of the first things you will notice once you have logged in is the new Vents status displayed. This informs you of any new comments posted to any Item across the whole website. You simply choose which comments to accept.
- There is no login or registration for the visitor which encourages interaction with the information on your website. However, you can only accept the comments displayed.
NEW FEATURE Widgets: you can now embed video, images, . . . from other websites directly. Any number of embedded widgets can be associated with any Item. This means that each Item can have the following associated:
- Widgets
- Downloads
- Images
- Articles (additional text)
- Links (website, cross-reference and email)
- Pricing
- Vents / website comments: new feature mentioned above.
This gives you the ability to place lots of media on your website.
NEW FEATURE Website Contacts: now your
Contact page is dynamic. You are able to control, at any time, the various ways visitors to the website can contact you. We can integrate this new feature into your website in lots of different ways. For example: main details on your Contact page and a contact person for a specific product or event. There might also be multiple people to contact for different services.
UPGRADE Viewing Lists: when viewing a list of Items you can select Front, Current, Past and Hidden. These were displayed only by Date Captured. This made it difficult to find content especially if there are a lot of Items listed. Now you can sort by Caption, Date Posted, Filter, etc.
NEW FEATURE Website Widgets: similar to your main website Downloads and Links, you can now have widgets that apply to the whole website. For example: video of your core business that you want embedded on your front / home page.
