If the General Functions toolbar or General Menu bar are not available then click Toolbar or Menu via the Switchboard - to switch the toolbar or menu off, click the close button.

Toolbar buttons and Menu items are automatically available when they can be used, and automatically disabled when they cannot be used.

Save record. Saves immediate record but a record is also saved by simply moving from one record to the next.


Show Print options dialog box. Also available via File on the General menu.


Start printing. Also available via File on the General menu.


Preview before printing. Also available via File on the General menu.


Setup the layout of your page(s); i.e. margins, page size, etc. Also available via File on the General menu.


Undo previous edit. Also available via Edit on the General menu.


Cut text. Highlight text and click this button to cut and move the text to another location. Also available via Edit on the General menu.


Copy text. Highlight text and click this button to copy and duplicte the text in another location. Also available via Edit on the General menu.


Paste text. Click this button to paste the text that you either cut or copied. Also available via Edit on the General menu.


Find text. Also available via Find on the General menu.


Find next. Also available via Find on the General menu.


Replace text. Also available via Find on the General menu.


Deletes the current record. Also available via Records on the General menu.


Sort ascending. Place the cursor in the field you would like to sort and click this button. Also available via Sorting on the General menu.


Sort descending. Place the cursor in the field you would like to sort and click this button. Also available via Sorting on the General menu.


Filter by selection. Also available via Filtering on the General menu.


Filter by form. Also available via Filtering on the General menu.


Apply / remove filter. Also available via Filtering on the General menu.


Apply / remove filter and sort. Also available via Filtering on the General menu.


Remove filter. Also available via Filtering on the General menu.


Send to RTF (Rich Text Format) file and open a word processor.


Insert hyperlink. Also available via Web on the General menu.


View the form in datasheet view. Also available via View on the General menu.


Lets you zoom in or out of a report when in print preview mode. Available via File on the General menu.
